18 sts and 24 rows to 10x10cm (4x4in) measured over stocking stitch using 5mm needles

14 sts and 37 rows to 10x10cm (4x4in) measured over fisherman’s rib using 5mm needles

ABBREVIATIONS

k1b (knit in the stitch below) Insert RH needle into centre of the st directly below the next st on the LH needle and knit a st as you normally would, allowing original next st to drop from LH needle once complete
