Head to Kauffmann’s website and you’ll find a tongue-in-cheek fictional backstory to the Kauffmann Cozy involving a guitar builder named Cosette Gemuttlich, who was born in 1942, and a European castle. But the real enterprise is highly indicative of how guitar making worldwide has changed and continues to do so.
