Q&A SHORE ANGLING

Q I want to try float fishing a live sandeel off a harbour wall for a bass and wondered what’s the most natural and effective way to present the bait. Which way do I attach it as I don’t know if a bass attacks sandeels head on or tail first?

Some people may say that the hardest thing about float fishing a live sandeel bait is actually obtaining some live sandeels. Anyway, if you are lucky enough to have a bucket full, it could be great sport and some potentially exciting action. In my opinion, there is nothing better than seeing your float sail under and lifting into a hard-fighting fish
