you haven’t already, check out the new Penn Battle lll range of fixed spool reels, specifically designed for saltwater fishing. Penn has made a number of great improvements when compared to the older Battle ll range and I’ve personally tried out the Battle lll 7000 longcast version. The longcast versions of these reels have a taller spool which helps you to achieve greater casting distances
