CONGER EEL

Conger fishing, especially for the bigger specimens approaching 100lb, is best undertaken along the south coast of the UK, fishing into some of the big sunken wrecks in the English Channel.

They can be caught in good numbers throughout the summer and autumn months, but they can also be caught from late October right through until March over broken ground and reefs. It’s often the case that anglers get frustrated with the big eels as they regularly snaffle baits intended for cod.
