Tightly crossing my legs, I tried desperately to hold it, but I couldn’t. ‘Stop!’ I yelled from where I sat in the back of the car.
As the car slowed to a halt, I quickly jumped out, crouched down and relieved myself by the roadside.
It was 1984 and, aged 10, I was prone to accidents.
I was always getting my parents – Mum Kathy, then 36, and Dad Sid, 44, to stop the car so I could go for an emergency wee.
And they always carried a spare set of clothes for me, too.
