This One’s for the Hungry Soul

PICTURE A WFH SITUATION. YOU stare at the computer screen, gulp down black coffee, munch some goodies, scroll down your phone, and stretch. Pause. And then repeat. This has been the working pattern for most of us in this pandemic. And we’ve all come to realise that it is life’s simple things that matter the most — and our focus should be on looking after our mental and physical health. To quote from the American journalist-author Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir, Eat, Pray, Love, “Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it.”
