EAGLE SOARS ONCE MORE

The best way to describe the Everson Eagle is as a neoclassic, a car with modern underpinnings and the classic styling of a ’20s or ’30s sports car. The term neoclassic originated in the ’60s. It was used by the Classic Car Club of America to describe the Excalibur, a design that mimicked a Mercedes SSK of the late ’20s. The neoclassic age had its heyday in the ’70s and early ’80s. It gave Hollywood movie stars and other elite a taste of ’30s grandeur with the reliability, safety, and ease of driving of a modern car.

Since then, there have been various manufacturers of this style of car — Panther and Beauford in the UK, Zimmer and Clénet in the US, and Mitsuoka in Japan, to name just a few. Neoclassic cars appeared on many TV shows of the era, such as and , where being able to stand out from the crowd
