Sony Xperia PRO-I

The Xperia PRO-I is Sony’s flagship smartphone, designed for professionals and aiming to be ‘The Camera’, according to the firm’s website. It features a triple camera set-up, with ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lenses. It’s also capable of recording 4K HDR video at 120fps. But at £1,599, is it worth the money?

Hardware and design

The main camera on the rear of the Xperia PRO-I is where all the attention has been focused. It employs a 1in 20MP Exmor RS sensor, developed from the RX100 series compact cameras. However, rather than using the full sensor, it uses a cropped area to give 12MP images.

The main lens is a Zeiss optic, with T* coating, and has the option of switching
