After my recent column about nuts, bolts and fasteners a reader asked for ‘more’.

So here’s a bit more, beginning with a reminder section.

Threaded fasteners that we meet are mostly either metric or imperial. Imperial has been phased out for general use but are common on older vehicles. All mainstream is metric and has been for decades.
