Jeannette Sorrell

Jeannette Sorrell is an exuberant interpreter of Baroque and Classical repertoire with Apollo’s Fire, the ensemble she founded 30 years ago. Their latest recording, O Jerusalem!, presents music from the three main faiths in the ancient city. On 14 April, Sorrell will be conducting the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and soloists in Bach’s St John Passion.

I was entranced by the way he shaped the orchestra as well as his own line.
