Park Railings

You will need

• Green print fabric (hedge) – One (1) fat quarter
• Grey-brown fabric (railings) – Five (5) 1in x 21in strips
• Blue print (Pigeon) – One (1) 1½in x 21in strip
• Taupe print fabric (wing) – One (1) 2in x 2½in piece
• Taupe fabric (beak) – One (1) 1in square
• Various fabrics (butterflies) – Four (4) 2½in squares
• Ivory fabric (background) – One (1) fat quarter

Finished size

• 12½in x 18½in

Notes

• HST = half-square triangle.
• RST = right side(s) together.
• Cutting is listed under each unit heading. Set aside any scraps for future blocks.

Making the railings

1 To make the railings, cut the following:

■ Four (4) 1½in x 18½in and one (1) 1in x 18½in green print strips.

■ Five (5) 1in x 18½in grey-brown strips.

■ One (1) 1½in x 18½in background strip.

2 First make a strip set by joining the four (4) 1½in x 18½in green print strips and four).
