This was a full year before announced the groundbreaking technology to the world, meaning David has a legitimate claim to coding the first LaserDisc title. “I appreciate that but it was just a coding task handed to me by my boss,” he says, modestly. “I wrote the article in the style of Hunter S Thompson because I really wanted to be like him or James Joyce. My liver couldn’t handle either.”
