What heartening news to learn that Wayne Rainey will ride at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on his 1992 championship-winning Yamaha YZR500. I have great admiration for Wayne, for what he achieved as a racing motorcyclist and for what he has achieved in his life since his terrible accident.
His races with the likes of Eddie Lawson, Kevin Schwantz and our own Wayne Gardner and Mick Doohan were legendary in an epic period of GP motorcycle racing. Huge congratulations also
