THE WIZARD OF BLUFF

No matter what happens in October’s mayoral election in Invercargill, Noel Peterson, also known as the Green Wizard, promises he won’t turn incumbent mayor Tim Shadbolt into a frog. He generally gets on with political opponents and he wishes them no harm. But he does believe that Invercargill would benefit from a bit of wizardry. “If we make local government more attractive, diverse, happy and fun,” he says, “I think local democracy will be improved.”
