Like professional sportsmen, there comes a time when we pass our physical prime. While footballers or cricketers can remain involved through coaching or management, it might not be so easy for a rough shooter, wildfowler or pigeon decoyer to maintain their interest as old age approaches. It is heartbreaking to see a personal hero having to accept that they have reached the end of their sporting road.
