Know your potato crop’s water status
As previously mentioned (see FW, 4 and 11 March 2022), potatoes have compact root systems, and this should always be borne in mind when applying fertiliser. Exactly the same principle applies to soil moisture; there should always be enough moisture in the area where the roots are situated.
