The Knitter

PATTERN NOTES

To give a relaxed fit, the garment is worked in DK-weight yarn on 4mm needles, except for the neckband, which is worked on 3.25mm needles in garter stitch. Take time to check your tension.

The front and back ribbed hems are worked separately in rows, then joined to work in the round to the armhole.

At the armhole, the front and back are divided and worked in rows: the back is worked first, then the front with neck shaping. The shoulders are cast off together using a three-needle cast-off. The neckband is finished with a garter stitch stripe worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up around the armhole and knitted down to the cuff.

Charts are worked in stocking stitch unless otherwise noted. Carry unused colours up the side of the work, twisting to secure floats.
