he E30 BMW M3 and beastly Cosworth-tuned versions of Ford Sierra and Mercedes-Benz 190E are just the tip of the touring-car iceberg. They’re all magnificent proponents of arguably the most. The Nissan Motorsport (NISMO) Skyline R32 GT-R is the winningest touring car of all time. In the Japanese Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC) and Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), it won the most Group A races of any car. In fact, when it competed, it won all but two races it entered. This rampant success created a groundswell of shock and awe that preceded the R32 GT-R wherever it went. This was how the Skyline GT-R gained the nickname Godzilla, a mythical beast from the East.
