1904CC BUS ENGINE BUILD TOP END PART 2

Now that the bottom end of our Bus engine is buttoned up, it’s time to complete the long-block by installing the pistons, cylinders, heads and valvetrain. Let’s get going!

You’ll want to get all your materials and supplies arranged and prepared before installing the cylinders. This includes preparing the pushrod tubes to match the length of the cylinder spacers we will use.

We are using “windage-style” push-rod tubes on this build, and this means that they have an extended end which faces the crankshaft. This extension on the end of the tube helps to keep oil from sloshing up into the heads during hard cornering.

Since our cylinder spacers are about 3/16-inch thick, we’ll need to stretch the pushrod
