The building of our engine for Darrell Vittone’s A/MC, took place at the Schley Brothers’ VW Museum, as this shop just oozes nostalgia from the early years of VW racing. As we mentioned last month, we are having Ron Fleming, along with Scott Pescuma do the actual assembly as we trust them without question. Last issue, we talked about the basic engine; a 2090cc, using an Empi 84mm crank, Empi 5.5-inch long H-beam rods, 89mm Empi/Mahle pistons within a fully machined ’72 AS-41 universal case.
