ALI PRICE is not one of life’s thrill-seekers. He’s never gone bungee-jumping or sky-diving, he’s never been tempted to give a parachute jump a lash or try a spot of ice-climbing. As far as we know, he’s yet to run with the bulls in Pamplona or go cage-diving with sharks in South Africa.

He’s not one for roller coasters either. There are people who like to bag big dippers in the way others like to bag the Munros of Scotland. There was somebody on television not long ago who is obsessive about travelling the world and riding hulking monsters like the Tower of Terror in Australia and the Yukon Striker in Canada and the Intimidator in the USA.
