INTOUCH

Super Mario

It was very sad to see Mario Ledesma quit as coach of los Pumas. Despite only winning eight of 33 matches in charge, it has to be taken into consideration that 20 of these games were in the Rugby Championship and that he was able to orchestrate victories against each of the Springboks, Wallabies and a famous first win over the All Blacks.

I’m hoping another Pumas hero from the bronze-medal team of 2007, Felipe Contepomi, takes over and can inspire a similar performance from the team when the World Cup returns to France.
