Relaxation seekers have been flocking to Buxton for well over three thousand years, and it’s very easy to see why. Perched high in the Derbyshire Hills, and cloaked by the Peak District National Park, Buxton lays claim to some of the purest mineral water in the country – so much so that the bottled water proudly bearing its town’s name is still one of England’s favourites.
Early records of Buxton as a spa town date back to AD80 when the Romans built its baths, with those remains first excavated
