KERNEL WATCH

Linus Torvalds announced the release of Linux 5.17-rc4 (Release Candidate 4). The RC was named Superb Owl in honour of the US Super Bowl annual American Football game, which is often misspelt. The name is meaningless as far as the kernel is concerned, and is only referenced in a single place, but Linus does like to use it for running gags.
