Cakes & Bakes with JULIET SEAR

Hello Baking Heaven friends and welcome to our March issue. Spring is in the air; I love this time of year, it feels really hopeful and just at the start of a lovely period of better weather and more sunlight! Also we have Mother’s Day to look forward to, a perfect reason for baking!

For this month’s issue, first off, I’ve given you my delicious coffee and walnut cake. I actually created this for Gok’s birthday, I made him 3 tiers stacked together with a lovely golden topper. It’s next level, sandwiched with 3 layers and coated in a luscious unrefined icing sugar cream cheese frosting, so it’s a bit more of a showstopper but in a classic flavour, perfect for Mother’s Day or a special recently. If you fancy watching how to decorate it, the video is online, and I also have a tutorial for it on my YouTube channel along with lots of other baking recipes.
