You linked up with your old England team-mate Scott Parker at the club in August, signing on for a year after choosing not to ink a new contract at Crystal Palace. How’s it been for you so far?
It’s been good. Obviously I knew the manager already, he spoke to me over the summer, and at that point I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do – whether to try to stay in the Premier League, try a different challenge altogether, or just take a bit of time out from playing and decide whether to carry on at all. My head was a bit all over the place
