On the outside, Sam Dascombe and Jeremy Flindall’s home appears to be a square, double-fronted Georgian house. Inside, however, the airy reception hall narrows into a cosy, low-beamed snug, then opens up to a spacious, open-plan, brick-and-flint kitchen-diner. This old property has clearly undergone many changes.
‘We think the snug in the middle is 16th century,’ says Sam. Apparently the front of the house burned down and was rebuilt in the 1700s, hence the Georgian design there. The kitchen at the back was a single storey
