    A RACING Pajero adorned the front cover of the March 1992 issue, as it was the winner of the Paris-Cape Town Raid. At that time the Pajeros were also dominating the Paris-Dakar Raid, which is a little bit different to today’s Dakar.

    A V6 Pajero featured in this month’s comparo, lined up against the turbo-diesel Cruiser and a V8 petrol Disco. Our tester, the late Paul Harrington, thought they were all pretty good, but when pushed, thought the Cruiser was just a nose in front of the others.
