The Colorful World of Philippe Ferrandis

While most of the jewelry companies and designers I cover in this column were plying their trades 50-100 years ago, many of my absolute favorites are often viewed as contemporary. A number got their start in the 1980s and 1990s, in fact. Several of these, like Philippe Ferrandis, are still creating jewelry treasures today.

In the case of Ferrandis, some of his designs are old enough to be considered vintage now. That equates to more than 20 years old if you subscribe to the edict of a vintage selling, which I personally do. Whether vintage or newer, all Ferrandis pieces are considered collectible by his many fans.
