Season’s greetings

Beaters’ or keepers’ day is the one day of the season that all of us who work tirelessly behind the scenes of the shoot look forward to. It is a ‘thank you’ for all the hours of trudging through mud and bramble.

Traditionally, the day was known as beaters’ day, as it was mainly the beaters and pickers-up that would be given the opportunity to shoot.
