Sustainability for life

The University Sailing Sustainability Challenge is one of the most impactful initiatives connected with the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show, although perhaps one that is at times overlooked.

Launched in 2015 and run by the RYA and British Marine’s environmental arm The Green Blue, it requires university sailing clubs across the UK to undertake a series of environmental challenges over the academic year, meeting green criteria in aspects of their sailing lives ranging from kit, to waste, to travel, to seabed
