milking goats THE EASY WAY

MILKERS are a major responsibility and tie once they are producing milk. If you’re going to get a milker, think about getting two. Herd animals should always have a companion. Whether it’s cows, goats, sheep or yaks, it’s important that they are contented and relaxed about their situation and their human keeper. A calm attitude makes for a relaxed animal.

If you look at it from the animal’s point of view, squeezing her mammary glands is a rather strange thing for us to do — especially if she doesn’t know you. Calm, kind words and movements, and a set routine are a good start.
