ARCHIBALD PRIZE

Cowra Regional Art Gallery will play host to the country best known art competition - the Archibald Prize.

Central West and Blue Mountains art lovers will be given the opportunity to view the finalists of Australia’s most well-known portraiture prize when the Archibald Prize 2021 exhibition opens at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery on Saturday, March 19 to Sunday, May 1.

Prestigious and controversial, the Archibald Prize (which celebrated its 100th year in 2021) is considered Australia’s foremost portraiture prize a veritable who’s who of Australian contemporary culture - from politicians to fashion designers, celebrities to sporting heroes to artists.
