TRACING PATTERNS

In this month’s workshop, Simply Sewing’s Senior Technical Editor, Roisin, shows us how to trace a pattern to preserve our precious originals!

Here at Simply Sewing HQ we’re working hard to make our magazine a welcoming and inclusive place for all members of the sewing community. One aspect of this journey is to increase our pattern sizing. We know that body sizes don’t end at a 20 and we want to offer dressmaking patterns in larger size ranges where possible.

We have trialed offering larger size ranges online, but now we want to move a step further and include all available sizes of a pattern in our envelopes. As we use patterns from indie designers, not every pattern we bring to you is available beyond a size 20, but where they are,
