In this issue’s workshop, Simply Sewing’s Senior Technical Editor Roisin shows us how to sew the perfect line of topstitching!

Topstitching is usually one of the final steps when completing a garment, so it’s vital that our topstitching is neat and accurate. Wonky stitching on the outside of a garment, although endearing (to a certain extent), will take away from the professional finish we aim to give our garments. In this workshop we’ll walk you through some of the best techniques for achieving a perfect line of topstitching.
