34 Amazing Mac tricks

Apple has always prided itself on the intuitiveness of its operating systems, so much so that conventional instruction manuals have never been bundled with its hardware. Of course, the ‘Help’ option is ever-present in your Mac’s menu bar and it is from here that you will gain intricate knowledge of the many facets of macOS, should you take the time to explore it. But who’s got time for that? Sometimes we just want to fast-track to the cool stuff, the super-clever features that many of us stumble across by accident, and iCreate boasts a rich history of showcasing such nuggets. So, with the closing of 2021, we felt it was the perfect time to compile some of these tricks so that you can enter the new year fully-armed with the knowledge needed to get the most out of your Mac.

01 Sign PDFs straight from Mail

If you’re emailed a form to sign, you don’t have to print it out, sign it and re-scan it – you can do it all on your Mac without a tree getting harmed in the process. You just need an iPhone!

Create a signature

You will need to click on the signature icon in the Markup toolbar. From there, click on ‘Create Signature’ and then click on the ‘iPhone or iPad’ tab. If you don’t have an iPhone, you can physically sign a white piece of paper and then hold it up to your Mac’s iSight camera.
