There are so many beautiful patterns available to home sewists, so choosing a pattern can be difficult. I have wanted to sew an elegant tea-style dress for a while, so it was a good opportunity to try the Deer and Doe Orchidée. It is also nice to see a pattern with plenty of details and an introduction into a more advanced technique; namely sewing a bridal loop placket.
