AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK: Amboseli Camp, Kimana Gate

Why visit? Big skies reach to the heavens. An isolated place, part savannah part wetland, where flamingos pepper swamps, buffalo stand thigh-high in waterweeds and herds of up to 100 elephants are visible on every horizon, all crowned by mighty Kilimanjaro.

About Small KWS campsite outside the park entrance, with room for about 10 vehicles and tents. Proper toilets, showers, and an onsite restaurant are very basic. Enormous acacia trees shade the grassed area.
