Jack Goodhue’s poise and technical excellence meant he appeared destined for a long stint with the All Blacks as early as his first season of Super Rugby.
Even back in 2017 he had all the qualities of a good midfielder when he debuted for the Crusaders.
His ability to run straight and therefore create room for the attacking players outside him, and make good decisions on defence, marked him out as a player with an excellent future and that has so far been realised throughout his 13 test caps after he made his debut against France in Dunedin in 2018.
