NOT A WILDLIFE DESTINATION? THINK AGAIN

est Africa is famed for its rich cultural mosaic, which encompasses curvaceous adobe mosques, mysterious ancient megaliths, colourful traditional markets, a pulsating music scene and much else besides. And its tropical Atlantic coastline is a magnet for sun-starved European tourists during the northern winter. But when it comes to wildlife, West Africa undoubtedly plays second fiddle to eastern and southern Africa. All the same, it does offer some rewarding opportunities to see indigenous wildlife.
