VENDETTA Racing UAE was formed in 2007 by rookie racer Alan Boyter to compete in the Sportsbike Championship at the newly opened Dubai Autodrome. Within a few years, Vendetta attracted riders of the calibre of current UAE Sportsbike champ Mahmoud Tannir and nine-times Middle East motocross champion Steve Blackney to compete in international events as varied as the Qatar MotoGP’s 600cc support race, the Manx GP on the Isle of Man and the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, the latter in cahoots with successful four-wheeled desert racer David Mobbs, who was making the switch to bikes. By 2020, the team even had their first crack at the legendary Dakar Rally with a two-bike team.
