AUSTRALASIA’S TOP WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS

Australasia’s Top Wedding Photographers is a celebration of the best wedding photography from Australia and New Zealand. The inaugural edition of the competition proved hugely successful attracting a wide array of brilliant entries. It also boasts some of the biggest names in the wedding industry from around the globe as judges. The competition features two categories: Single Shot and Portfolio; the latter requiring a submission of five images.

A huge congratulations to our category winners, runners-up, and all the top finalists. Their stunning images appear on the following pages. Congratulations must also go to those whose work was deemed Highly Commended and Commended.

The Portfolio category was won by Mauro Cantelmi with Ashley Karakatsanis named as the runner-up. Meanwhile top placings for the Single Shot category were hotly contested with only a few points separating first and second place. Keegan Cronin took out the first prize and Jerome Cole placed second. Huge congratulations! The judges were impressed with the overall standard of entries, and they showered high praise on the top placegetters, as reflected in their comments which appear on the following pages. Category winners each receive $3,000 cash, a Sony Alpha 7 III camera valued at $2,899, and a BenQ monitor valued at $750. Runners-up take home $500 cash and an MSI Urban Outdoor Backpack valued at $380.

A very special thanks to our amazing panel of judges for their time, wisdom, and expertise to help decide the winners. Thanks also to them for sharing their top tips for producing amazing wedding images. You’ll find these pearls of wisdom scattered amongst the finalists.

Lastly, a massive thanks to our major sponsor, Sony, and supporting sponsors, BenQ and MSI. Competitions like this wouldn’t be possible without their generous support. It’s greatly appreciated..
