ON-COURSE GEAR: GET IT RIGHT

While there are obvious similarities in equipment field archers carry compared with, say, target archers, there are a few other things you will likely require. So preparing for a field course could mean that you need to think carefully about what you truly need and whether you can carry it all comfortably through the day.

This highlights one key difference.

At a target tournament there may be a static shooting line or a place a short distance away where archers can store their spare equipment. This isn’t normally the case for field archery tournaments, where you will be potentially walking
