FAVOURITE PLACE TO HAVE A DRINK? I’ve got a top-secret spot on a secluded beach on the east coast of the Cape. It’s a really special spot.
FAVOURITE MEAL? Coral trout or a well-cooked steak.
FIRST BIKE? Yamaha YZ80D at age 13. I grew up at Whittlesea in Victoria and was just a paddock basher as a kid. I didn’t start racing bikes until I was 17.
BEST BIKE YOU HAVE EVER OWNED? I’ve had a lot of bikes, a real lot of bikes. But my favourite has to be the KTM 500EXC. It has plenty of power, handles really good, and makes me look good! It’s the sharpest tool in the shed.
WORST BIKE YOU HAVE Honestly, I’ve not had a really bad one, as I’m pretty picky about the bikes I buy. I’ve learnt a lot about bikes over the years and try hard to avoid the bad ones.
