Giving wild dogs a chance
South Africa’s Kruger National Park is home to a number of endangered species, including the most vulnerable African wild dog. The park has the largest contiguous population of wild dogs in South Africa, but elsewhere this important species is threatened by habitat loss and population fragmentation. This is where the Ford Wildlife Foundation has stepped in, donating Ford Rangers to provide support to 27 ecological protection initiatives which are part of the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Carnivore Conservation programme.
