THE FARM HOUSE OF THE FUTURE
The starting point for the newly completed Kepdarroch farmhouse, according to project architect Colin Baillie, was the desire by all involved “to achieve something quietly special”. And it’s a testament to him and the owners, who are longstanding friends, that this new-build in rural Stirling-shire is indeed special: as well as being a superlative family home, it could also be considered a next-generation farmhouse and an exemplar of contemporary rural architecture. It’s all the more remarkable given that the project was just getting underway as the Covid-19 pandemic began.
