HIS ISSUE of marks the departure of H. Emerson Blake, under whose editorial leadership the magazine has operated for the better part of its history. To characterize our time with Chip (as many of us know him) as a period of growth would be an understatement. His influence extends to ’s core assumptions about what it means has followed him into what always has been an increasingly dark and frightening future, holding fast and expanding in readership, operations, and stature.
