Tequila often gets a bad rap so we sat down with Sarah Kennan, co-owner and founder of Leonista 100% Karoo Agave Spirit to chat about her journey into the world of Tequila.
Sarah surfs, runs and enjoys all the benefits of being outdoors but she also enjoys a good night out with friends – with Tequila as her drink of choice. But as many people who drink tequila often find out (a little too late), the hangover in the morning can really bite! In Sarah’s case, that meant a wasted day outdoors so back in 2015 she realised that if she was going to continue to drink tequila, she would have to get her hands on the purest one available. So she took herself off on a fact-finding mission to Mexico to learn the art of making premium tequila and mezcal from their master distillers.
