Ihave always loved catching big fish from small boats. It’s been such a passion, I even made a TV series about it. There is just something awesome about hooking into big fish and being able to do it up close and personal in a trailerboat. The close perspective takes the experience to the next level.
Trailerboats aren’t as comfortable as larger moored boats simply because they are smaller, however, they do have several advantages — they are much cheaper to run and maintain, and they give you the flexibility to follow the bite up and down the coast with ease. Hitching up the trailer and dragging a trailerboat is easy, whereas larger gameboats are limited to certain ports, and the logistics of moving them are massive in comparison. You also have to contend with crew, marina berths and access to fuel and stores which all adds to the logistical headache.
